Board of Directors
Christina Sullivan
Co-Founder & President
Christina is a native New Yorker who moved to San Francisco in 2009 at the prompting of the Holy Spirit. San Francisco is her “Happy Place” where she and her husband have set deep roots, particularly in the Richmond District. Christina is a huge proponent of Classical education, sweat equity, and homemade sourdough bread. Often heard encouraging those around her to “stop complaining and do something!”, Christina considers Casa Vigeo her life’s work and hopes this ministry will strengthen the Catholic community for generations.
Sean Sullivan
Co-Founder & Secretary/Treasurer
Sean is a native San Franciscan whose family relocated to Sonoma County in the ‘80’s “because life in the City was getting expensive”. After commissioning in the Army upon graduation from UC Davis, he traveled the globe serving his country, only to end up right back where he started. While his job as an industrial mechanic pays the bills, Sean especially enjoys gardening with his daughters, completing home improvement projects with his wife, and reading theological books in the wee hours of the morning while everyone else is sleeping.
Ed Hopfner
Vice President
Ed is the director of Marriage and Family Life for the Archdiocese of San Francisco. A popular speaker, Ed has given talks throughout North America, particularly on the Theology of the Body. Originally from Seattle, Ed has a master’s degree in Theology from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology and currently resides near Berkeley. In his spare time, he enjoys foreign films, red wine, the Oakland A’s and bluegrass.
Joanne Chan
Joanne is the mother of a school-aged son in San Francisco. Born and raised in the City, fostering Catholic families is important to her. Joanne is a practicing attorney, focusing on employment and business litigation.
Joe D’Aura
Joe is a native San Franciscan and lifelong resident. He and his wife, Connie, have been married for over forty years, and they have one adult son. Joe and his wife have been involved in marriage preparation in the Catholic Church for over 35 years, both in presenting and creating new content and programs. He and Connie are big supporters of efforts to keep Catholic marriages successful and life-long!
